Adding a Table to a Dining Area
- Open the dining area.
- Ensure the General Settings tab is selected.
- At the bottom right of the Table Configuration Grid section, click the Add Table link. A new row is added to the grid.
- For the new table row, enter the following:
- Name - enter the table name.
- Shape - select the table shape.
- Seats - enter the number of seats for the table.
- Click Save at the top right of the slide-out panel to apply your changes.
Bulk Adding Tables
Another means to add tables is via the Bulk Add button, which displays the Bulk Add Tables modal (below) for you to enter the numbers of tables, shape, and number of seats for each table.
Accessing the Tables of a Dining Area
When you open the dining area, the General Settings tab is selected by default, which in turns displays the Table Configuration Grid, which lists the tables of the dining area.
Changing Number of Seats for a Table
To change the number of seats for a table, complete the following step:
- Open the dining area.
- Ensure the General Settings tab is selected, which in turn displays the Table Configuration Grid that lists each table.
- For the table whose seats you want to adjust, enter the number of seats in the Seats field.
- Click Save at the top right of the slide-out panel to apply your changes.
Changing the Name of a Table
- Open the dining area.
- Ensure the General Settings tab is selected, which in turn displays the Table Configuration Grid that lists each table.
- For the table whose name you want to change, enter the new name in the Name field.
- Click Save at the top right of the slide-out panel to apply your changes.
Changing the Shape of a Table
- Open the dining area.
- Ensure the General Settings tab is selected, which in turn displays the Table Configuration Grid that lists each table.
- For the table whose shape you want to change, select its shape from the Shape field.
- Click Save at the top right of the slide-out panel to apply your changes.
Removing a Table
If a person is not assigned to a table (see Assigning Dining Areas, Tables and Seats to Person), then it can be removed. To do so, complete the following steps:
- Open the dining area.
- Ensure the General Settings tab is selected, which in turn displays the Table Configuration Grid that lists each table.
- For the table that you want to remove, click its remove icon (
) from the Actions column. A confirmation message appears.
- Click the Delete button.
Sorting Tables in a Dining Area
You can sort the tables in a dining area, which is reflected in the people reports that are used to deliver meals to residents in a dining area (see Setting the Delivery Sequence for People Reports). To sort tables in a dining area, complete the following steps:
- Open the dining area.
- Ensure the General Settings tab is selected.
- In the Table Configuration Grid section, hold the = icon of a table to be sorted, and drag and drop it to the appropriate spot in the table order. Repeat until you have your desired table sort order.
