About POS Diner Categories
For organizational purposes and to allow for meal plan, diner charge account and auto-discount assignments, diners can be assigned to a diner category (also known as a “people group”). There are three main diner categories:
- Residents
- Staff
- Guests
For each diner category you can create sub-categories. For example, under the staff diner category, you could have a “volunteer” sub-category and a “nursing” sub-category. Under the guest diner category, you could have a “family” sub-category.
