Is there an ability to build out a meal combination for a therapeutic diet if there isn’t a regular menu item as a place holder in a certain category?
Yes, while we recommend adding a “None” recipe to the regular diet and extending it for any therapeutic needs to provide better visibility into where these items come from, we recognize this doesn’t work for all teams all the time. Therefore, check out this article to learn more on serving an item only for a specific therapeutic diet: Serving Item for only a Specific Therapeutic Diet Order (i.e., not as a Regular Item).
What is the best recommendation for a daily posting menu?
We recommend using the Daily Display Menu Report. This will allow you to choose settings that work best for your residents or patients. You can choose a larger font size, decide on the best sorting, and display one meal per page.
