Hiding a Menu Category
On the Advanced Ordering and Instant Ordering screens in Touch, you can hide a menu category from a meal period (breakfast, lunch, dinner). For example, you can hide the bread category from dinner. To hide a menu category from a meal period, complete the following steps:
- In Touch Admin, select Ordering Settings > Category Settings. The Category Settings screen appears, listing the menu categories for each meal period. Note that menu categories are created in the MealSuite site; see Working with Menu Categories for more information.
- Select the desired meal period (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner) from the top row. The screen refreshes with the menu categories set up for that meal period.
- Select the Edit button of the desired menu category. The Edit Category screen appears.
- Select the Do not show Category in Instant Ordering or Advance Ordering check box.
- Click the Update Category Meal button to apply your changes.
What Happens in the Touch App?
On the Advanced Ordering and Instant Ordering screens in the Touch app, a category set to be hidden in Touch Admin is not available.
