Options when Resolving Unmapped Persons
This article explains the options available from the MealSuite Person drop-down field when resolving an unmapped person either from the Connect screen or the People Listing screen.
The options from the MealSuite Person drop-down are as follows:
-
Map EHR person to existing MealSuite profile - select the MealSuite person to map the EHR person to.
-
Create new MealSuite person from EHR person - you can create a new person profile in MealSuite using the EHR data by selecting Create New Person from the drop-down field.
-
Ignore message - You can ignore the specific message by selecting the Ignore Message option. Ignoring the message means the person's profile will not be updated with the information in the message. Any subsequent message regarding the person will continue to be accepted by the system.
This is a useful option for a person who is an outpatient or who has been discharged (thereby allowing the system to accept a re-admit if needed), and messages are received before their re-admit.
Note: If you did want subsequent messages to be ignored for the person, then instead select the Ignore Person option (described below).
Upon selecting the Ignore Message option, the following message appears to explain the logic.
-
Ignore Person - You can have the system ignore the message for the person and all future messages for the person by selecting the Ignore Person option. Upon selecting this option, the following confirmation message appears, which also gives you the option to ignore just the specific message (explained above).
Reversing a Mapping Option
You can always reverse a mapping option that you made above. To do so, see Remapping a Connect Mapping Relationship.
