Selecting a KMS Location for Advanced Orders (i.e., Non-Paid Orders) from the Touch App and Portal App
Advanced orders (i.e., non-paid orders) placed from the Touch app and the Portal app must go to a KMS location for the order to be prepared.
To select the KMS location that advanced orders are sent to, complete the following steps:
- In Touch Admin, select Ordering Settings, and then click the Meal Delivery Area Configuration tab. The Meal Delivery Area Configuration screen appears, listing the dining areas/residence area is enabled as a dining areas that have been ported over from the MealSuite core system.
- Click the Edit button of the meal delivery area you want to configure. The Edit Meal Delivery Area screen appears.
- In the Meal Assembly Location for all Advanced Orders field select the KMS location.
Selecting a KMS Location for Paid Orders from a POS Station and Portal App
For each POS location in a facility, it must be aligned with a KMS location to allow paid orders placed from a POS station and the Portal app to be prepared. Multiple POS locations can share the same KMS location.
To select a KMS location for a POS location, complete the following steps:
- In Touch Admin, click POS Settings > Locations.
- Click the Edit button of the POS location.
- Scroll to the Service Configuration section.
- In the Meal Assembly Location field (screenshot below) select the KMS Location.
