Adding a Room to a Residence Area

To add a room or rooms to a residence area, complete the following steps:

From the left navigation sidebar, select Tools & Setup > Residences Builder. The Facility Builder screen appears with the Residences Builder tab selected by default.
Expand the building you want to add a room to.
For the area you want to add a room to, hover over it and click its add icon (). The Add Room to [Area Name] modal appears (second screenshot below).
In the New Room Name field, enter the room name or number.
To create additional New Room Name fields to add more than one room, click the Add Another Room link (or press Enter on your keyboard) for each new room you want to add. Enter the room name or number in each field.
When finished adding rooms, click the Save button to close the modal. The newly-added rooms are listed for the area.

If no residents/patients are assigned to a bed of a room, then that room can be removed from a residence area in your account. To do so, complete the following steps:

From the left navigation sidebar, select Tools & Setup > Residences Builder. The Facility Builder screen appears with the Residences Builder tab selected by default.
Expand the building and then expand the residence area you want to remove a room from.
For the room to be removed, hover over it and click its delete icon (). A confirmation message appears (second screenshot below).
Click the Delete button. The room is removed.

To rename a room:

From the left navigation sidebar, select Tools & Setup > Residences Builder. The Facility Builder screen appears with the Residences Builder tab selected by default.
Expand the building and then expand the residence area of the room(s) you want to rename.
For the room to be removed, hover over it and click its Edit icon (). The Edit Room modal appears.
Enter the new name for the room in the Room Name field.
Click the Save [Room] button to apply your changes.

To add a bed or beds to a room, complete the following steps:

From the left navigation sidebar, select Tools & Setup > Facility Builder. The Facility Builder screen appears with the Residences Builder tab selected by default.
Expand the building and then expand the residence area you want to add a bed to.
For the room you want to add a bed to, hover over it and click its add icon (). The Add Bed to [Room Name] modal appears (second screenshot below).
In the New Bed Name field, enter the bed name or number.
To create additional New Bed Name fields to add more than one bed, click the Add Another Bed link (or press Enter on your keyboard) for each new bed you want to add. Enter the bed name or number in each field.
When finished adding beds, click the Save button to close the modal. The newly-added beds are listed for the room.

If no resident/patient is assigned to a bed, then that bed can be removed from your account. To do so, complete the following steps:

From the left navigation sidebar, select Tools & Setup > Residences Builder. The Facility Builder screen appears with the Residences Builder tab selected by default.
Expand the building and then expand the residence area you want to remove a bed from.
For the room that you want to remove a bed from, hover over any bed and click its edit icon (). The Edit Room [x] modal appears (second screenshot below).
For the bed to be removed, click its Remove Bed link.
Click the Update button to close the modal. The bed is removed from the room.

To rename a bed:

From the left navigation sidebar, select Tools & Setup > Residences Builder. The Facility Builder screen appears with the Residences Builder tab selected by default.
Expand the building and then expand the residence area of the room(s) you want to rename.
For the room of the bed you want to rename, hover over any bed and click its edit icon (). The Edit Room [x] modal appears (second screenshot below).
Enter the new name of a bed in its respective field.
Click the Update button to apply your changes and close the modal.
