Managing Rooms and Beds – MealSuite

You manage rooms and beds in your facility from the Residence Builder screen. Open the Residences Builder screen as follows:

In your Core account, select Settings from the left navigation sidebar. The Settings panel appears to the right.
From the Settings panel, select People Settings > Residences Builder. The Residences Builder screen appears (screenshot below). You can see how the Residences Builder screen presents a user-friendly structure with expandable/collapsible sections.

Adding a Room to a Residence Area

To add a room or rooms to a residence area, complete the following steps:

Open the Residence Builder screen.
Expand the building of the residence area you want to add a room to.
For the area you want to add a room to, click its ellipsis and select Add Room to Area (first screenshot below). The Add Room modal appears (second screenshot below).
In the Room Name field, enter the room name or number.
To create additional Room Name fields to add more than one room, click the Add New Room link (or press Enter on your keyboard) for each new room you want to add. Enter the room name or number in each field.
When finished adding rooms, click the Save button to close the modal. The newly-added rooms are listed for the area.

If no residents/patients are assigned to a bed of a room, then that room can be removed from a residence area in your account. To do so, complete the following steps:

Open the Residence Builder screen.
Expand the building and then expand the residence area you want to remove a room from.
For the room to be removed, click its ellipsis and select Delete Room (first screenshot below). Assuming no resident/patient is assigned to the room, then a confirmation message appears for you to confirm the deletion (second screenshot below).
Click the Yes, Delete Room button. The room is removed.

To rename a room:

Open the Residence Builder screen.
Expand the building and then expand the residence area of the room(s) you want to rename.
For the room to be renamed, click its ellipsis and select Edit Room (first screenshot below). The Edit Room modal appears (second screenshot below).
Enter the new name for the room in the Room Name field.
Click the Save button to apply your changes.

To add a bed or beds to a room, complete the following steps:

Open the Residence Builder screen.
Expand the building and then expand the residence area you want to add a bed to.
For the room you want to add a bed to, click its ellipsis and select Add Bed to Room (first screenshot below). The Add Bed modal appears (second screenshot below).
In the Bed Name field, enter the bed name or number.
To create additional Bed Name fields to add more than one bed, click the Add New Bed link (or press Enter on your keyboard) for each new bed you want to add. Enter the bed name or number in each field.
When finished adding beds, click the Save button to close the modal. The newly-added beds are listed for the room.

If no resident/patient is assigned to a bed, then that bed can be removed from your account. To do so, complete the following steps:

Open the Residence Builder screen.
Expand the building, then expand the residence area, and then expand the room you want to remove a bed from.
For the bed to be removed, click its ellipsis and select Delete Bed (first screenshot below). Assuming no resident/patient is assigned to the bed, then a confirmation message appears for you to confirm the deletion (second screenshot below).
Click the Yes, Delete Bed. button. The bed is removed.

To rename a bed:

Open the Residence Builder screen.
Expand the building, then expand the residence area, and then expand the room that has the bed you want to rename.
For the bed that you want to rename, click its ellipsis and select Edit Bed (first screenshot below). The Edit Bed modal appears (second screenshot below).
Enter the new name of the bed the Bed Name field
Click the Save button to apply your changes.
