Activating a POS Device with a Registration Code
If MealSuite provided you registration codes for your POS devices, then complete the following steps to activate a POS device with a registration code:
- When accessing the POS app for the first time from your device, the following screen appears.
- Tap the Have a Quick Registration Code? button (first screenshot below). The Quick Device Registration window appears (second screenshot below).
- In the Account ID field, enter your account ID (which is your facility ID and also would have been provided by MealSuite).
- In the Registration Code field, enter the registration code that was provided to you for the device.
- Tap the Register button. The screen refreshes and prompts you to enter your operator ID.
- Enter your operator ID (and depending on your POS configuration, you may have to enter a PIN) to access the POS.
Activating a POS Device without a Registration Code
If you do not have a registration code for a POS device, complete the following steps to activate a POS device.
- When accessing the POS app for the first time from your device, the following screen appears with a 6-character code.
- Write down the code or copy it by tapping the Copy Code button.
- Contact MealSuite Support and provide them the code, along with the following information:
- Name of the POS device
- POS location
- When MealSuite Support registers the device with the code you provided, your POS screen refreshes and prompts you to enter your operator ID.
- Enter your operator ID (and depending on your POS configuration, you may have to enter a PIN) to access the POS.

POS Device Error Codes
"No internet connection"
If there is no internet connection, then the POS login screen states "No internet connection. Please check your internet connection and try again."
If logged into the POS, and the connection is lost, then an error message appears stating, "The device does not have internet connectivity."
DRP_00002 Error
This error indicates the POS device is connected to the internet but cannot connect to MealSuite servers.
- Click here to check the status screen for MealSuite systems.
- If there are no issues with MealSuite systems, then a change has occurred within your network; contact your IT department to investigate.
REQ_00001 Error
This error indicates the POS device is unable to connect to the network. Try each troubleshooting step in the order presented.
- Click the RETRY button.
- Reboot the device.
- If the POS device is connected to the network via a network port, ensure that the port is active/live by plugging a laptop to see if it gets a connection. Or if the POS device is connected to the network via Wi-Fi, ensure the device has a Wi-Fi connection and is connected to the correct network.
- If not resolved, then it could indicate a change has occurred within your network; contact your IT department to investigate.
FAQs
Can a POS device be used to access different MealSuite accounts (i.e., facilities)?
Technically yes, but from a practical point of view, the answer is no, explained as follows:
A device is only associated with one account (i.e., facility). You can use the device to switch between different POS locations (i.e., dining areas) in that account, but there is no capability from the device itself to switch to a different account unless the device is re-registered in that account as per above steps.
