About the POS Self-Service Kiosk

The POS self-service kiosk allows for diners to place the following order types on their own without the involvement of a POS operator:

• Dine-in orders
• Takeout orders
• Delivery orders
• Self-checkout for grab-and-go items.

Can an item with a variable price be ordered on a self-service kiosk?

No. For a self-service kiosk (SSK), an item with a variable price is filtered out and not available for selection. 

Does a weigh scale work with a self-service kiosk? Can an item with price by weight be ordered on a self-service kiosk?

No. For a self-service kiosk (SSK), an item with a price by weight is filtered out and not available for selection. Hence, a weigh scale does not work with an SSK. 

What are the tender types available for self-service kiosks

• Credit card
• Bill to room
• Meal plan
• Charge account
• Gift card

Is the POS Manager module accessible from a POS self-service kiosk (SSK)?

How do you set up modifiers on an SSK?

A modifier grid is not available on a POS self-service kiosk (SSK). However, modifier prompts (i.e., forced modifiers) are available on an SSK.
