ADT-A03 - Patient Discharge
The ADT-A03 - Patient Discharge message sends a Y or N value in the “30-Patient Death Indicator” element in the PID: Patient Identification Segment.
The Y value informs MealSuite to either archive or delete the person, as per the “Deceased People are” setting in the Connect Interface Settings.
The N value informs MealSuite to either archive or delete the person, as per the “Discharged People are" setting in the Connect Interface Settings.

ORM_O01 - General Order (for Diet Orders)
The ORM-O01 message carries an identifier that either adds to a diet type in a person's profile or cancels a diet order (diet type, texture type, fluid type) in a person's profile. The identifier is carried in the Action element in the ODS: Dietary Orders, Supplements, and Preferences segment of the message.
The following fields in a person's profile can be updated in MealSuite by the ORM-001 message.

How Messages Appear in the UI
The Connect screen is where messages received from an EHR system are listed for you to acknowledge or resolve.

In addition, on the People Listing screen, profiles that are associated with Connect messages are listed. Those requiring resolution are listed first (with red Connect alert label), followed by those requiring acknowledgement (with green Connect alert label).
