Placing a Non-Paid Meal Order from the Portal App
A setting with a non-pay meal service includes meals as part of a resident's/patient's stay (i.e., a clinical setting). Meals are personalized to a resident's/patient's dietary and therapeutic needs. Using the Portal app, a resident/patient can place orders for their own meals in advance. The steps to do so are as follows:
- Tap Place An Order.
- Select the date.
- For the meal service (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner) to place an order for, tap Place Order.
- To select an item, tap its Add to Cart button or its + sign.
- After your items are added, tap the View My Cart button to view the items in your cart.
- Tap the Continue button.
- Select Delivery or Pick Up, and then select the delivery or pickup time window.
- In the Special Instructions box, you can enter any notes or special instructions (e.g., extra napkins please).
- Tap the Place Order button.
- A confirmation message appears stating that your order has been placed.
Modifying an Existing Non-Paid Order
Prior to an order's preparation time, a resident/patient can modify the order by adding/removing items, or selecting a different pickup/delivery time. In addition, if an order was placed by a staff member using the Touch app, then that same order can be modified by the resident/patient using their Portal app.
The steps to modify an existing non-paid order placed in advance are as follows:
- Tap Order History to view pending orders.
- For the order to modify, tap its Modify button.
- Add/remove items as needed, and then tap Continue
- Select a different pickup or delivery time if needed.
- Tap Place Order to place the modified order.
Cancelling an Existing Non-Paid Order
Prior to an order's preparation time, the order can be cancelled. To do so:
- Tap Order History to view pending orders.
- For the order to cancel, tap its Modify button.
- Tap the Cancel Order button.
- Tap Yes to the confirmation message to cancel the order.
