From the week-at-glance view you can view the nutrient analysis of a single menu item. To do so:
- Hover over the menu item and click its Edit icon (
). The Edit Menu item pop-up appears (second screenshot below).
- Click the Nutrient Value icon (
). The View Nutrients window appears listing the nutrients and their values for the menu item.
Note: Most nutrient values in the View Nutrients window are rounded to the whole number (e.g., 50 kcal).
Viewing Nutrient Analysis for Menu Item from Menu Day View
From the menu day view, you can view the nutrient analysis of a single menu item. To do so, click the Nutrient Value icon () of the menu item (first screenshot below), and the screen refreshes on the right (second screenshot below) with the nutrients and their values for the menu item.

Viewing Nutrient Analysis for a Menu Week
- Open the menu for which you want to view nutrient values (either the week-at-glance view or menu day view).
- From the Week field, select the week for which you want to view nutrient values.
- From the Diet field, select the diet type for which you want to view nutrient values.
- Click the Nutrient Analysis button (first screenshot below). The Nutrient Analysis panel appears (second screenshot below) displaying the average value of each nutrient for the selected week and diet type. The average is calculated by summing a nutrient amount for each choice and dividing by the number of choices the menu supports.
The Nutrient Analysis panel displays nutrient values from the following groups (scroll down to view):
- MacroNutrients
- Minerals
- Vitamins
- Fatty Acids
When a nutrient value is within its parameter range, meaning above the minimum value and below the maximum value, the Total cell appears in green. Hovering your cursor over the cell indicates what the ideal value is for the nutrient.
When a nutrient value is not within its parameter range, either below the minimum value or above the maximum value, the Total cell appears in red. Hovering your cursor over the cell indicates the recommended maximum if over, or the recommended minimum if under.
Note 1: The nutrient value parameters (i.e., the minimum, ideal and maximum values) are set for a diet type via Tools & Setup > Diet Orders (see Viewing/Changing Nutritional Parameters of a Diet Type for more information).
Note 2: Most nutrient values in the Nutrient Analysis window window are rounded to the whole number (e.g., 50 kcal).
Viewing Nutrient Values for a Choice Selection
When on the Nutrient Analysis view, you can view nutrient values for items of a specific choice selection. To do so, select the choice from the Analyze drop-down.
