On a resident/patient's personal menu, an item can be removed from service either via an allergen assigned to the resident or applying a "do not serve" (DNS) to an item. If applying a DNS, you can either do so for an individual item or a group of items via a meal period (breakfast, lunch, dinner), snack time (am, pm, hs), a menu category, or a preference group.
When an item is DNS on a personal menu, it will not appear on any front-end ordering apps (Touch app, POS, Portal app) for that resident/patient and will not appear on any customized menu reports (Tray Menu Ticket report and Person-Specific Select Menus report).
