You can load a gift card with a custom dollar amount at a POS station. The card can be a new unloaded gift card being issued for the first time or a previously-issued gift card that is now being "topped up". To load a gift card with a requested dollar amount, complete the following steps:
- Select the gift card load product from the POS grid (first screenshot below). The Add Gift Card pop-up appears (second screenshot below).
- For convenience a list of predefined load amounts are available (e.g., $20.00) to select from to add onto the card. Alternatively, you can enter a specific custom amount by tapping the Custom button and entering the desired amount (e.g., $17.00).
- After selecting a predefined amount or entering a custom amount, you are prompted to scan, swipe, or manually enter the gift card number, as per screenshot below.
- Scan or swipe the gift card, and then proceed to step 4.

If you are manually entering the gift card number, tap Manual Gift Card Entry. You are prompted to enter the gift card number, as per screenshot below. Enter the number, tap Confirm Gift Card Number, and then proceed to step 4.
- Confirm the gift card number and then tap Add To Ticket. The gift card load is added as a ticket item (second screenshot below).
- Proceed to pay the ticket as per standard operation.
