Prior to the MicroTouch being shipped, complete the following installation and configuration steps.
- Initial Setup
- Scalefusion Enrollment
- Enroll Monitor in Scalefusion
- Kiosk and Lock Mode
- POS and Touch app Installation
- Confirm the Following
Initial Setup
Complete the initial setup steps below prior to enrolling the monitor in Scalefusion.
- Connect the adapter to the DC IN port, and the power cable to the wall outlet.
- Press the Power button on the left side edge of the screen.
- Select the language and region.
- Connect to Wi-Fi (or plug in the LAN cable for hardwired connection).
- Sign in to the Google account or skip sign-in, as policy requires.
- Set the screen lock, date, and time zone. (how?)
- Install available system updates.
Enroll Monitor in Scalefusion
Enroll the monitor in Scalefusion:
- Install the Scalefusion agent. (Is this obvious or should more steps be here?)
- Enter the enrollment code or scan the QR code in the Scalefusion dashboard. (should this be more steps? is there something about tapping the home screen 6 times or something first?)
- The Permissions screen appears. Enable all the permissions except of the Disable Assist App permission. For each permission that is enabled, the Notification Access screen appears. Enable Scalefusion to send notifications for each permission. (I added this step).
- Assign the device to the correct group and device profile. (how?)
- Confirm the device appears on the Scalefusion dashboard.
Kiosk and Lock Mode
- In the Scalefusion dashboard, open the POS device profile. Does one need to open the POS device profile? What about the Touch app?
- Enable kiosk and lock mode (I need to see this) and allow only MealSuite POS and MealSuite Touch.
- Set the exit password and who (is "who" certain user profiles?) can leave kiosk mode.
- Push the profile and confirm it applies (how?)
POS and Touch app Installation
- Install MealSuite POS (Is this obvious or should more steps be here?).
- Install MealSuite Touch (Is this obvious or should more steps be here?)
- Launch the POS and switch to the shipping facility. Confirm the POS is connected to that facility with the latest POS version (see Locating Version Number of the POS System).
- Launch the Touch app and switch to the shipping facility to confirm the Touch app is connected to that facility with the latest Touch app version (see Locating Version Number of the Touch app). (I added this step).
Confirm the Following
- Wired (LAN) and Wi-Fi connectivity work.
- Device appears in the Scalefusion dashboard with the correct profile and restrictions.
- MealSuite POS and MealSuite Touch are installed and visible, and each application launches and starts as expected.
- Kiosk or lock mode blocks access to other apps.
