Via the POS Manager module in POS, you can add or edit prices of menu items and products. To do so, complete the following steps:
- In POS, from the Tools menu at the top right of the screen, select POS Manager. The POS Manager screen appears.
- Select POS Item Management. The POS Item Management screen appears.
- If adding or editing a menu item price, select the desired date and meal service (Breakfast, Lunch, or Dinner) to refresh the screen with menu items of the day/meal service.
- Note that if searching for a product (as opposed to menu item), and the product is not displayed, it could be the product's category is not displayed on the POS grid, or it could be that the product is assigned to a menu category and that menu category is not configured to show products; therefore turn off the Show Items On POS Grid Only filter to show products that are not on the POS grid. - To open a menu item or product, click its edit icon (first screenshot below). If opening a product, the Product Add/Edit screen appears (second screenshot below). If opening a menu item, the Menu Item Add/Edit screen appears (third screenshot below).
- In the Price Type, select the price type:
- Fixed
- Price By G
- Price By KG
- Price By Oz
- Price By Lb

Variable (if selected, then the price will be entered on the POS front end by the POS user)
- In the Price field (not available if Variable is the price type), enter the price. (Note that the price will also be updated in the price book that is associated with the POS location).
- Click the Save button to apply your changes.
