What is the Manage Plates Feature?
Manage Plates is a feature for instant ordering (IO) that allows an individual plate with multiple items to be added to an order, which in turn adds each item to the order. Note that the managed plates features is not available for the advanced ordering (AO) service type.
Showing Image of Plate to Diner
In addition, by clicking the photo for the plate, a full size image appears that you can show to the diner so that they have a visual image of the items on the plate. This is an ideal feature for foods with texture modifications so that the person can see the visual of the food.
Easily Locating Plates
Any plates that are created for the menu instance (week, day, meal period) are easily located by clicking the Plates option (screenshot below). Note that the Plates option is displayed after the menu categories; there is no configuration ability to move the Plates option to the desired spot before or amongst the menu categories.
