About Recipe Box Labels

The Recipe Box field for a recipe contains a label to help identify the recipe. 

As a Parent Account

• If you are a parent system or corporate account, a recipe box label is useful for your facility child accounts to identify the recipe (e.g., Entrees Poultry, Entrees Vegetarian, etc.). The recipe box label is also useful to identify a recipe that is a therapeutic substitute for a regular recipe (e.g., Gluten Free, LoCal, Low Salt, etc.).  
• A corporate account does have the option to keep the My Recipes label, but this will prevent the recipe from being available to its child accounts. To have the recipe be available to child accounts, the recipe must be given another label. 
• A system or corporate account has the ability to create new recipe box labels, as per steps below.
• Aside from the My Recipes label, any other label applied by the parent account owner will not preclude that recipe from being viewed or used by its child facility accounts.

As a Child Account

• If you are a child facility account that is accessing a master recipe (i.e., recipe not owned by your account), the Recipe Box field is read-only and cannot be changed. 
• If you are a facility account that owns a recipe, then the My Recipes label is the only option for the Recipe Box field. A My Recipe label is given to a recipe owned by a facility account to allow that account to quickly find their own recipes on the Recipe Listing screen (see Finding and Opening a “My Recipe" Recipe (for Facility Accounts).

Creating a Recipe Box Label (for Corporate and System Accounts only)

A recipe box label scan be created by corporate and system accounts for their purposes. A facility account does not have the ability to create a recipe box label. 

To create a recipe box label, complete the following steps:

1. Select Tools & Setup > Recipe Tools, and then click the Recipe Boxes tab at the top of the screen. 
   
   
   
   
2. To create a single recipe box label, click the Add New button. The New Recipe box slide-out panel appears. 
   
   
   
   
3. Enter a name for the recipe box label in the Recipe Box Name field. 
4. If the recipe is to be used as a therapeutic substitute for a regular recipe, then select the Textured/Therapeutic Recipes check box. 
5. Click the Save button to save the recipe box.
