Using the Snipping Tool to Capture Screenshots (for Windows®)

If you are using a Windows® laptop, then you can use its Snipping Tool to capture screenshots of MealSuite software screens when requested by MealSuite Support.

To open the Snipping Tool and capture a screenshot, complete the following steps:

  1. From the Search field on your computer, start typing "Snipping Tool". The Snipping Tool app is automatically returned as a search result.

  2. Click Open.

  3. The Snipping Tool window appears (first screenshot below), along with its launch icon in the taskbar (second screenshot below).

  4. Go to the MealSuite software screen that you want to capture, and click New from the Snipping Tool window. 

  5. Capture the desired area of the MealSuite software screen by clicking and dragging. The captured screenshot appears in the Snipping Tool window.

  6. When you capture a screenshot with the Snipping Tool, it is also automatically copied to your clipboard. Therefore you can paste it into the Support chat or email (by clicking Ctrl + V).
