Unpublishing a Recipe

A recipe by default is automatically published in the system, meaning it is available for use in menus and other recipes by the recipe owner and its child accounts.

Your account can unpublish a recipe, including a master recipe. When a recipe is unpublished, it will be unavailable and unsearchable in your account and your child accounts, meaning it cannot be added for use in menus and other recipes. If the recipe is currently in use in a menu or another recipe, it remains in use. 

To unpublish a recipe, complete the following steps:

  1. Access the Recipes Listing screen (Menus & Recipes > Recipes Listing) search for and open the recipe to be unpublished. The recipe screen appears.

  2. Click the white Unpublish Recipe button to change it to the black Publish Recipe button. The recipe is unpublished.

Publishing an Unpublished Recipe

If your account unpublished a recipe, then you also have the ability to republish the recipe. To do so: 

  1. Access the Recipe Listing screen (Menus & Recipes > Recipes Listing) and search for and open the recipe to be published. Use the Unpublished filter option if necessary.

  2. Click the black Publish Recipe button to change it to the white Unpublish Recipe button. The recipe is republished.

Bulk Publishing/Unpublishing of Recipes

  1. From the left navigation sidebar, select Menus & Recipes > Recipes Listing. The Recipes Listing screen appears.
  2. Use the filter and search tools to customize the recipe list displayed onscreen.
  3. Select the check boxes of each recipe to be published or unpublished.

  4. Click the Bulk Edit button. The Bulk Edit Recipes window appears.
  5. If performing a bulk publish, select the Publish All option. If performing a bulk unpublish, select the Unpublish All option.

  6. Click the Apply Changes button. A confirmation message appears.
  7. Click Confirm.

Locating Unpublished Recipes

You can locate all unpublished recipes by using the unpublished filter on the Recipes Listing screen. To do so: 

  1. From the left navigation sidebar, select Menus & Recipes > Recipes Listing. The Recipes Listing screen appears.
  2. Expand the Filters section at the top of the screen.
  3. If the Hide Unpublished Recipes check box is selected, then clear the check box.

  4. Click the Apply button. The screen refreshes with the unpublished recipes.
