Opening a Recipe from the Recipes Listing Screen

To open a recipe from the Recipes Listing screen, complete the following steps:

1. From the left navigation sidebar, select Menus & Recipes > Recipe Listing to open the Recipes Listing screen.
2. Locate the recipe you want to open (use the filters and search tools if needed).
3. Click the Look Up Name link of the recipe you want to to open (first screenshot below). The recipe opens in a separate window (second screenshot below).
   
   
   
   

Opening a Recipe from a Menu

A recipe for a menu item can be opened from the menu. Once opened, you can print it or edit it as needed. A recipe can be opened from either the week-at-glance view or the menu day view.

Opening Recipe of Menu Item when on the Week-at-Glance View

1. Open the menu to the week-at-a-glance view.
2. For the item whose recipe you want to open, hover over it and click its Edit icon (). The Edit Menu item pop-up appears (second screenshot below). 
   
   
   
   
    
3. Click the Go To Recipe link. A separate browser tab opens with the recipe screen.
4. To print the recipe, the Print Preview button. The PDF of the recipe is generated in a separate browser tab (second screenshot below). You can download and/or print this PDF. Note: For MealSuite to properly generate the PDF in a separate browser, you must allow the MealSuite URL to accept pop-ups. If needed, see the following article for instructions: Allowing Pop-Ups on your Browser.
5. To edit the recipe, see Editing a Recipe. 

Opening Recipe of Menu Item when on the Menu Day View

1. Open the menu to the menu day view.
2. Locate the menu item whose associated recipe you want to open.
3. Single-click the menu item, and its Details tab opens, displaying the recipe details. Alternatively, you can click the preview icon (the eye icon) of the menu item to display its Details tab. 
   
   
    
4. To open the recipe, click its Go To Recipe button. A separate browser tab opens with the recipe screen.
5. To print the recipe, the Print Preview button. The PDF of the recipe is generated in a separate browser tab (second screenshot below). You can download and/or print this PDF. Note: For MealSuite to properly generate the PDF in a separate browser, you must allow the MealSuite URL to accept pop-ups. Opening a Recipe from the Photo Gallery of a Menu

You can open the recipe of a menu item from the menu photo gallery. To do so, hover over the photo, and click the View Recipe icon. The Recipe opens in a separate browser tab. 

Finding and Opening a "My Recipe" Recipe (for Facility Accounts)

If you are a facility account that created its own recipes, and is still currently the owner of those recipes, then these recipes can be searched for and opened via their “My Recipe” label. To do so: 

1. From the left navigation sidebar, select Menus & Recipes > Recipes Listing to open the Recipes Listing screen.
2. Open the Filters tool, and select the My Recipes Only check box, and then click Apply (first screenshot below). The recipes owned by your account appear (second screenshot below). 
   
   
   
   
    
3. If need be, use the other filters and the search tool to search for the desired recipe.
4. Click the Look Up Name link of the recipe you want to open. The recipe screen opens. Rather than repeat the instructions here on editing a recipe, the same details can be found on the Creating a New Recipe topic (start at step 3 of the Getting Started section).
