Mobile Device Compatibility
The thermometer probe is compatible with the following mobile devices:
- Elo® touchscreen monitor
- Elo M50 device
- Samsung® Galaxy Tab A
- iOS® devices running version 13 or later
The thermometer probe is not compatible with Windows® devices.
Install Battery
The battery is separate in the shipment package. Install the battery into the bottom of the instrument.
Install the Probe
The probe is separate in the shipment package. To install the probe:
- On the top of the instrument, remove the inserted screw.
- Install the probe onto the top of the instrument, inserting the screw into the hole on the instrument left empty from step 1.
Pair the Thermometer Probe
The steps below explain how to pair the probe to your mobile device. After the probe is paired, you will not need to perform these steps again. Each time the probe is powered, it will automatically reconnect to the mobile device.
- Access MealSuite Touch on your mobile device and generate a production report.
- On the device screen, tap the Pair Temperature Sensor button. A box appears prompting you to choose your sensor.
- On the instrument, hold down the power button until it flashes green. Green indicates the thermometer probe is ready for pairing.
- Select the thermometer probe.
- On your mobile device, the thermometer probe appears. Tap the Connect button to pair the thermometer probe. When the thermometer probe is paired, the screen states Connected and the probe flashes blue.
Recording a Food Temperature
A food temperature is recorded on the Kitchen Production Sheet or the Service & Delivery Production Sheet. Refer to the appropriate instructions below:

About Location Services
Location services must be enabled for the thermometer probe. If you ordered the thermometer probe from MealSuite (recommended), then the location services are enabled by MealSuite prior to shipping the thermometer probe to you. If you ordered the thermometer probe from a separate supplier, then ensure location services are enabled by referring to the proprietary instructions, contacting Cooper Atkins® tech support, or contacting MealSuite support.
FAQs
My Thermometer Probe is disconnecting?
When the probe is not active for 10 minutes, the probe goes into light sleep mode for one minute.
After 11 minutes total of no activity, the probe goes into a deep sleep (off) mode and disconnects from the mobile device. Simply press the power button on the probe and it will automatically reconnect to the mobile device.
