Sort Order when Viewing WaaG by Menu Category

When viewing the WaaG by menu category (via the display options), the menu categories are sorted according to how the menu categories are sorted via Tools & Setup > Menu Settings (see Changing Sort Order of Menu Categories for instructions), and the menu items are sorted in each category according to how you sort the items in the menu day view (see Sorting Menu Items within their Categories below), with choice 1 items being listed before choice 2 items.

Sort Order when Viewing WaaG by Choice

When viewing the WaaG by choice (via the display options), menu items are listed within each choice according to the sort order of the menu categories via Tools & Setup > Menu Settings (see Changing Sort Order of Menu Categories for instructions). Items within a same category are sub-sorted according to how you sort them when in the menu day view (see Sorting Menu Items within their Categories below).

Sort Order when Viewing by Menu Category

In the menu day view, when viewing by menu category (via the display options), the menu categories are in the order according to how the menu categories are sorted via Tools & Setup > Menu Settings (see Changing Sort Order of Menu Categories for instructions).

The menu items can be manually sorted within each category by clicking, holding and dragging the = of a menu item to the desired position within the category. (Right-click image below to open and expand in new tab.)

Note that the sort order also appears on the menu week-at-a-glance view, menu reports and production reports.

Sort Order when Viewing by Choice

In the menu day view, when viewing by choice (via the display options), menu items are sorted according to the sort order of the menu categories via Tools & Setup > Menu Settings (see Changing Sort Order of Menu Categories for instructions).  

Note: When viewing by choice, you cannot sort menu items. To sort menu items, you must be viewing by menu category (via the display options). For more information and instructions, see Sorting Menu Items within their Categories below) .

Sorting Menu Items within their Categories

Via the menu day view, you can configure how menu items are sorted within their menu categories. The sort order appears on the menu week-at-a-glance view, menu reports and production reports.

  1. Open the menu to a menu day view.
     
  2. Ensure the items are organized by menu categories. This is done by opening the Display Options, selecting Menu Category, and clicking Save.

  3. Sort the items as desired by clicking and holding the = icon of an item and dragging and dropping it to the desired order within the menu category. The sort order is automatically applied.
