Viewing Issued Gift Cards and Balances

When a new gift card is issued to a customer at a POS location, a gift card record is created, which can viewed in the Issued Gift Cards section of the Gift Cards screen (accessed in the Core system via Point of Sale > Gift Cards & Vouchers, and then clicking the Issued Gift Cards tab.). The following columns are displayed for each gift card record:

  • Balances - shows the balance for a gift card. 
  • Issued By Facility - indicates the facility that issued the gift card
  • Issued Date - the date the gift card was issued.
  • Expiry Date - the expiry date on the gift card.
  • Notes - displays any notes that were entered for the gift card product when it was originally created.
  • Identification - displays the unique code of the gift card and any secure code.

Viewing Transaction Records of a Gift Card

To view the transactions records of an issued gift card:

  1. In the Core System, select Point of Sale > Gift Cards & Vouchers. The Gift Cards & Vouchers screen appears. 
  2. Click the Issued Gift Cards tab. 
  3. For the gift card whose transactions you want to view, clicks its gear icon in the Actions column and select  View Details. The gift card slide-out panel appears.  
  4. Transaction records made with the gift card are listed in the Transactions section. Each transaction record display the following: 
    • Transaction ID
    • Account Name
    • POS location
    • Ticket Number
    • Date of Transaction
    • Amount
    • Note (that was manually entered)

Gift Card Balance and Transaction Reports

Gift card balance and transactions reports are available from the POS reporting in the Core system. See POS Reporting (from Core System).
