About Manually-Added Unloaded Gift Cards
A gift card number from an unloaded gift card can be manually added in the POS system via the Touch Admin software. Once the gift card number is in the system, a dollar amount can then be loaded against it via the POS front-end (as per the POS - Loading a Gift Card with a Custom Dollar Amount steps).
After the card is loaded with a dollar amount, it can then be distributed to a resident.
Manually Adding a Gift Card Number
To manually add a gift card number in the Touch Admin software, complete the following steps:
- In Touch Admin, select POS Settings > Gift Cards. The Gift Card Profile screen appears.
- In the Issued Gift Cards section, click the Add a Gift Card button. The Gift Cards & Profile screen appears.
- From the Gift Profile drop-down, select the gift card profile the gift card is to be associated with.
- In the Identification Number field, enter the barcode number of the gift card.
