About Calibrating a Wireless Temperature Sensos
A temperature sensor out of the box is accurate to +/- 1% (1° C or 1.8° F). A sensor can be calibrated to provide even greater accuracy of +/- 0.25° C (± 0.45° F). Alternatively, if you believe the reading for a temperature sensor is inaccurate, then the sensor can be calibrated.
The calibration process involves coordinating with MealSuite Support to provide them a reading from a secondary temperature reading device (i.e., a thermometer or a digital infrared temperature reader) that you trust to be true.
If you have more then one secondary temperature reading device, then use each device to take a reading and provide the average to MealSuite Support.
MealSuite Support Steps
Calibration of a temperature sensor is performed in the iMonnit Online Portal and will involve coordination with the client to provide a reading from one or more secondary temperature reading device. If using multiple temperature reading devices, take the average.
Instructions to perform the calibration are contained in the proprietary iMonnit documentation here: How to Calibrate a Wireless Temperature Sensor.
