At this time, readings are taken in Fahrenheit and this cannot be customized.

A: Five hundred feet is the furthest recommended distance per gateway device.

A gateway device connects to your facility's network via an Ethernet cable plugged into a network port. A gateway device cannot connect to the client's network via WiFi.

How long are recorded temperatures stored in the report history?
Report history does not expire.
How often do I need to change batteries on a sensor?
Battery life on average lasts about five years.
In Touch Admin you can see the battery life of each sensor to determine if a new battery is required; see Viewing Battery Level and Signal Strength of a Temperature Sensor.
Can notifications from temperature sensors be sent to a third-party notification and alert platform, such as Status Solutions?
Yes, assuming that the platform can accept an alert email from MealSuite.
What frequency do the sensors use?
A sensor uses the 900 MHz ISM band to communicate with its gateway device; the products are FCC and ISED certified.
Can I reset the gateway device for troubleshooting purposes?
Yes. On the back panel of the device is a Utility button that will reset the device.
Can the gateway device be set to a static IP address?
The gateway device by default is configured with DHCP to use a dynamic IP address. If you require the device to be a static IP address, contact MealSuite Support with the following info:
- Gateway ID and Code (located on the bottom of the gateway device).
- IP address you want assigned.
- Subnet Mask
- Default Gateway on your network.
- DNS Server details (can use the Google Public DNS)
