Remapping a Connect Mapping Relationship
You have the ability to remap an existing Connect mapping relationship. For example, assume EHR room 304 is incorrectly mapped to MealSuite room 314, and therefore you want to remap it to the correct MealSuite room (304).
To remap a Connect mapping relationship:
- Open the Connect screen (People > Connect).
- Click the Mapping button. The Connect Mapping slide-out panel appears.
- Select the tab of the mapping relationships you want to remap: People, Rooms, Allergies, Diet Orders. The screen refreshes with a table of existing mapping relationships (the example screenshot below shows the room mapping relationships).
- Locate the entity to be remapped. If needed, use the Search field or search filters.
- From the MealSuite Data drop-down of the EHR entity to be mapped, select the correct entity to map to.
Note: If your EHR is PCC, then there is the ability to apply flexible mapping to a diet order. For more information and instructions, see PCC Connect Interface Only: Flexible Mapping for a Diet Order.
- Click the Save button at top right corner of screen to apply your changes.
- See "Updating Profiles After Remapping" below.
Updating Profiles After Remapping
When you remap an existing mapping relationship, the changes will not be automatically applied to associated profiles in your account. Only when the EHR sends a message for a profile will the mapping relationship take effect for that profile.
For example, if a profile is mistakenly assigned room 314 because the mapping relationship was wrong (EHR room 304 was incorrectly mapped to MealSuite room 314), the profile will not be updated with room 304 until that profile receives a new message from the EHR.
Therefore, you will be required to open the profiles to make the changes:
- If your EHR is PCC, then you can perform a sync of the profile via the PointClickCare tab. See Synching Data from PCC.
- If your EHR is not PCC, then you will be required to manually make the changes to a profile. Depending on the change, see the appropriate article below:
