Adding a Note to a Ticket
When you add a note to a ticket, that note will appear on the ticket that is fired to the KMS (kitchen management system) for your production staff to read. To add a note to a ticket:
- If you are a POS dining area location, select the diner whose ticket you want to add a note to.
- Tap the Ticket Note button. The Ticket Note pop-up window appears (second screenshot below).
- Enter your note and tap the Save Notes button. The note will appear on the ticket sent to the KMS.
- If required to edit the note, you can do so prior to firing the order to the kitchen by repeating the above steps.
Note: The ticket note does not display on the POS order. If you want to see the note, then tap the Ticket Note button to open the Ticket Note pop-up window.

When you add a note to an item, that note will appear for the item on the ticket that is fired to the KMS (kitchen management system) for your production staff to read. To add a note to an item:
- If you are a POS dining area location, select the diner whose item you want to add a note to.
- From the right side of the screen, tap the item.
- Tap the Add Note button. The Add Note pop-up window appears for the item (second screenshot below).
- Enter your note and tap the Save Notes button.
- The note displays below the item on the POS order, and will appear on the ticket sent to the KMS.
- If required to edit the note, you can do so prior to firing the item to the kitchen by repeating the above steps.
