Enhancements - September 15
Void Reasons
The POS system now supports void reasons. When an item or ticket is voided on the POS (see POS - Voiding an Item or Order (After Firing), the POS operator is required to enter a void reason. Rather than the operator having to manually enter a reason, the operator can select from a list of standard void reasons.
By default, the system has the following void reasons:
- Unhappy Customer
- Order Error
- Item out of Stock
Void reasons can be enabled/disabled for a POS revenue centre; see Enabling Void Reasons for a POS Revenue Centre.
Additional void reasons can be created, edited, deleted as needed. See Managing Void Reasons.
Refund Reasons
The POS system now supports refund reasons. When issuing a full or partial refund (see POS - Issuing a Refund), the POS operator is required to enter a refusal reason. Rather than the operator having to manually enter a reason, the system can be configured with a list of standard refusal reasons that the operator can select from, as per screenshot below).
By default, the system has the following refund reasons:
- Food was not as ordered
- Food safety concern
- Customer dissatisfied
Refund reasons can be enabled/disabled for a POS revenue centre; see Enabling Refund Reasons for a POS Revenue Centre.
Additional refund reasons can be created, edited, deleted as needed. See Managing Refund Reasons.
Refund Report
A new refund report has been introduced that captures items that were refunded. See POS Refund Report for more information and instructions.
Margin Analysis Report
A new margin analysis report has been introduced that shows revenue, costs, and profitability for each menu item sold, allowing you to identify which items are profitable and therefore make informed menu pricing decisions and optimize food costs. See Margin Analysis Report for more information and instructions.
French Language Support (for Canadian Accounts)
For Canadian accounts, the French language is now supported.
From the POS app, the user can select their desired language from either the login screen (first screenshot below) or from within the app after logging in via Tools (second screenshot below).
