FAQs
I can't see my new diet order (i.e., diet type, texture type, fluid type)?
When a new diet order (i.e., diet, texture or fluid type) is approved by the MealSuite Nutrition Services team, it will be unpublished in the system until you publish it.
If you cannot see the new diet order on the Diet Order Settings screen (Tools & Setup > Diet Orders), it is because the screen is not displaying unpublished diet orders. To display (i.e., show) the unpublished diet, texture, and fluid types, complete the following steps:
- Click the Display Options icon (screenshot below).
- Activate the Show unpublished at your account switch by sliding it to the right.
- Click Apply to apply your changes to the screen.
Can combination textures, such as regular texture combined with pureed meats texture, be requested/created?
No, the system does not support the merging of textures into a single combination texture (e.g., regular with pureed meats). Each texture in the system is defined separately, and therefore you will need to manage each texture type independently for menu planning and resident/patient profiles.
Is there a character limit when entering the name?
The system does not have a character limit when entering a name, but it is not recommended to have more than 40 characters, so that the diet/texture/fluid type can be fully displayed in the the system and reports.
