Viewing Details of a Connect Message
When a resident/patient profile is updated on the EHR, then a message is sent to MealSuite Connect for it to update the associated resident/patient profile in your Mealsuite account (see About MealSuite Connect for more information).
You have the ability to investigate the EHR message details to learn what changes were made, when the changes were made, and who acknowledged the message. You can investigate a message on the Connect screen by completing the following steps:
- Open the Connect screen (People > Connect from the left navigation sidebar).
- Open the filters, and set the Status filter to Acknowledged and Ignored. Click GO to apply your changes.
- If a non-PCC Connect interface, ensure that the following columns are set on the screen (click here to learn how to set columns):
- EHR ID - displays the resident or patient's EHR ID.
- Message Details - displays the message details that Connect processed from the EHR. For example, "Diet Order: Regular --> No Added Salt"
- Message Processed - displays the time and date the message was processed.
-
Acknowledged by - when an EHR message is acknowledged, then this column displays the date and time the message was acknowledged, and by whom.
- If a PCC Connect interface, ensure that the following columns are set on the screen (click here to learn how to set columns):
- PCC Internal - displays the resident or patient's PCC facility ID.
- Update Details - displays the message details that Connect processed from the EHR. For example, "Diet Order: Regular --> No Added Salt"
- Update date & time - displays the time and date the message was processed.
-
Acknowledged by - when an EHR message is acknowledged, then this column displays the date and time the message was acknowledged, and by whom.
- From the Search field, search for the last name of the resident in question to display their Connect messages.
Viewing History Tab of Resident/Patient Profile to See What Changed and by Whom
When a change is made to a resident/patient profile, either manually or through a MealSuite Connect interface, it is recorded on the History tab of the resident/patient profile (screenshot below). See Reviewing History of Resident/Patient Profile for more information .
For PointClickCare (PCC): Comparing Profile Data between PCC and MealSuite
If your account utilizes a Connect interface to PointClickCare (PCC), then a PointClickCare tab is available on a resident/patient profile screen to display the data between PCC and MealSuite. If data is mismatched between the two systems, then a sync can be performed that pushes the current PCC profile data to the MealSuite profile.
For more information and instructions, see Comparing and Synching Resident/Patient Profile Data Between PointClickCare and MealSuite.
Refer to the Connect FAQs
For common questions about a profile being updated by Connect, such as why a diet order can be NPO, see FAQs: Connect.
EHR to MealSuite Mapping Relationships
Viewing Mapping Relationships
The Connect Mapping screen allows you to view existing mapping relationships between source entities (people, rooms, allergies, diet orders) in the EHR system and the destination entities in the MealSuite system. See Viewing Connect Mapping Relationships for more information and instructions.
Remapping a Mapping Relationship
You have the ability to remap an existing Connect mapping relationship. For example, assume EHR room 304 is incorrectly mapped to MealSuite room 314, and therefore you want to remap it to the correct MealSuite room (304). See Remapping a Connect Mapping Relationship for more information and instructions.
