Can I automatically print receipts without having to tap the Print button?
Yes. In the Touch Admin software, the following settings for the POS location (located in the Service Configuration section) are available:
- Print receipt for cash payment - select this option to have the system automatically print receipts for cash payments and therefore prevent the POS operator from having to physically tap the Print button. To have the POS operator manually print receipts for cash payments, this option must not be selected.
- Print receipt for non cash - select this option to have the system automatically print receipts for non-cash payments (i.e., credit card, debit, bill to room, gift card, meal plan, charge account, department charge account, etc.) and therefore prevent the POS operator from having to physically tap the Print button. To have the POS operator manually print receipts for non-cash payments, this option must not be selected.
Can I print a duplicate receipt for a transaction?
Yes. In the Touch Admin software, the following setting for the POS location (located in the Service Configuration section) is available:
- Print two receipts for each transaction - select this option to print a duplicate copy of the receipt. The duplicate receipt is indicated as such with DUPLICATE COPY text at the bottom of the receipt.
How is a printer connected to my POS location?

Can the printer that prints POS receipts also be set up to print order tickets?
Yes. The same printer can be used.
- For receipt printing, the printer is assigned to the POS location by MealSuite Support. If you are MealSuite Support, see the following internal article on connecting a printer with a POS location: Creating Payment Location (i.e., Selecting Printer with Cash Drawer).
- For order ticket printing, the printer is assigned to the KMS station in a KMS location. See Editing a Food Preparation Station to assign a printer to a station. In addition, you must select the KMS location for POS orders to go to; see Selecting a KMS Location for Paid Orders from a POS Station and Portal App.

My printer that prints receipts is down/offline/not available. What options do I have to print receipts?
If you have another printer that is working, you can select that printer in the POS. From the Tools menu, select the desired payment location/printer combination.
Can one printer be shared between multiple POS locations?
Yes. Assigning a printer to one POS location does not prevent that printer from being assigned to another POS location (i.e., the printer "floats"; any POS location can be configured to use it).
