About the Retail Price for a Recipe
A retail price can be entered or edited for a recipe. A recipe with a retail price can then be included for Product Identifier Cards (generated either from recipes or menu items), which are able to display prices.
If your parent account enters a price for a recipe, then that price is displayed for that recipe in your account. You have the ability to overwrite that price specific to your account.
Note: At this time, prices entered for a recipe do not flow to the point of sale (POS) system. POS pricing must still be entered on the POS side either via the Touch Admin software (see Configuring a Price Book), or the POS Manager module (see Adding or Editing Prices of Menu Items and Products (via POS Manager Module) ).
Entering / Editing Retail Price for a Recipe
To enter or edit the retail price for a recipe:
- Open the recipe for which you want to enter a price.
- Scroll to the Retail Info section and expand it.
- In the Suggested Retail Price field, enter the price. If a price already exists (either by your account or a parent account) then you can overwrite it.
Note that if your account had previously edited the price set by your parent account, then the reset icon displays (). Clicking the reset icon resets the price to that of your parent account.
- The bar code functionality (Bar code field and Generate button) can be ignored, as it is for future use (bar code functionality, however is only available if your account owns the recipe).
- At the top right of the recipe slide-out panel, click Save to apply your changes.
