Summary of Recipe Reports

From Menus & Recipes > Recipe Reports in the left navigation sidebar, the following recipe reports are available to generate. Each report will generate with the recipes selected to be in the report. 

• Scaled Recipes Report (Recipes) - The scaled recipe report generates a production report of up to four different serving yields for each selected recipe.
   
• Product Identifier Cards (Recipes) - The Product Identifier Cards report generates retail labels of selected recipes. Typically a product identifier card is used for buffet and catering items.
   
• Price Tag Labels (Recipes) - The Price Tags Labels report allows you to generate price tag labels for selected recipes of the same price. Up to 16 labels per page can be printed in the layout shown below. 
   
• Nutrition Labels (Recipes) - The Nutrition Label report generates nutrition labels of selected recipes. 
   
• Retail Labels (Recipes) - The Retail Label report can generate retail labels of selected recipes.
   
• Nutrition & Retail Labels (Recipes) - The Nutrition & Retail Label report generates combination labels containing nutrition and retail information. 
   
• Nutritional Analysis Summary Report (Recipes) - The Nutritional Analysis Summary report generates a full nutritional summary and associated allergens of each recipe selected to be in the report.

Allowing Pop-Ups for your Recipe Reports

If you attempt to generate a report, and nothing happens, then that most likely means pop-ups are being blocked on your browser. You can allow pop-ups by clicking the "Pop-up blocked" icon in the browser address bar, as per screenshot below. 

If prompted to allow pop-ups, select the "Always allow" option. 

To prevent the browser in the first place from blocking pop-ups, you can set up the browser to allow pop-ups. Instructions to do so can be found in the following article: Allowing Pop-Ups on your Browser. 

Generating a Recipe Report

1. Ensure your browser is allowing pop-ups. See Allowing Pop-Ups on your Browser.
    
2. Select the recipes to be printed. 
    
3. Apply the specific settings for the recipe report.
    
4. Click the Generate button at the top of the screen.
   
   
    
5. You are presented with the message below stating that you can use other areas of the software while your report generates. 
   
   
    
6. If you don't click the Yes, Send Report To My Dashboard And Notify Me When Ready button, then the report will open in a separate browser tab after it generates.  
   
   
    
7. If you do click the Yes, Send Report To My Dashboard And Notify Me When Ready button, the system will notify you when the report is ready (first screenshot below), allowing you to download it now, or dismiss the message and later retrieve the report from the Notifications and Alerts section (i.e., dashboard) on the home screen(second screenshot below). 
   
   Note that the dashboard notification only appears to the user who generated the report and expires after 24 hours. Also note that if you are required to log out of the system, or if your browser session ends, the reports will continue to generate and be available from the home page for 24 hours.

General FAQs for all Recipe Reports

I click "Generate", but nothing happens?

If you attempt to generate a report, and nothing happens, then that most likely means pop-ups are being blocked on your browser. You can allow pop-ups by clicking the "Pop-up blocked" icon in the browser address bar, as per screenshot below.

How do I print a report with recipe IDs?

Reports do not support the printing of recipe IDs. The workaround method is to export a list of recipes with their IDs. To do so, complete the following steps:

1. Open the Recipe Listing screen.
2. Ensure the Recipe ID column is set to display.
3. Customize the recipes you want to export using the available filters.
4. Export the list to an Excel® file.

A recipe includes a sub recipe as an ingredient. Is there a way to print the main recipe without the sub recipe?

No. The system is not designed to preclude sub recipes. A sub recipe is an ingredient to the main recipe, and therefore needs to be prepared prior to the main recipe.

If you do not want a particular sub recipe to be part of a main recipe (e.g., you use a jarred marinara sauce rather than a homemade marinara sauce recipe), then you must change the main recipe to include your desired ingredient. If the main recipe is a recipe owned by your account (i.e., "My Recipe"), see Editing a Recipe Owned by Your Account (i.e., "My Recipe"). If the main recipe is a master recipe (i.e., not owned by your account), click here for options on changing the recipe. 

Because ingredients are associated with vendor products, it is important to ensure the correct ingredients are included in your recipes, as this affects nutrient analysis and cost.

When I select the settings for a report, are those settings saved for the next time I run the report?

Yes. Settings for each report are saved for the next time you visit the Reports screen to run a report. Note, however, if you clear you browser cache, the report settings will be lost. 

How do I print a report of specific therapeutic recipes?

On the Recipes Listing screen use the Recipe Box filter to determine the specific therapeutic recipes you want displayed (e.g., Gluten Free, LoCal, Low Salt, etc.), and then export the therapeutic recipe list to an Excel® document. See Exporting Recipe List to Excel® Document. 

Apart from printing the whole therapeutic recipe list to an Excel document, you can also select the check boxes of the recipes you want printed, and then click the Print button and select the specific recipe report to print the selected recipes.

How do I print a report of specific thickened fluid recipes?

If your account uses the IDDSI framework for texture-modified and thickened fluid recipes, then such recipes are identified with a Recipe Box label (e.g., SB6, MM5, etc.) and the appropriate Tag (e.g., SB6, MM5, etc.). 

If your account does not use the IDDSI framework for texture-modified and thickened fluid recipes, then such recipes are identified with a Recipe Box label (e.g., Texture Thick Liquids) and the appropriate Tag (e.g., Moderately Thick). 

Either way, on the Recipes Listing screen use the Recipe Box and Tags filters to return the thickened fluid recipes you want displayed. Then export the recipe list to an Excel® document. See Exporting Recipe List to Excel® Document. 

Note: Apart from printing the whole recipe list to an Excel document, you can also select the check boxes of the recipes you want printed, and then click the Print button and select the specific recipe report to print the selected recipes.
