Questions and Answers from Webinar
One of the dining rooms is showing a bed icon, and I can only choose Advance Ordering and Snacks. How can I change it to a dining area so we can use Table Select?
It sounds like the area was set up as a residence that’s also marked for in room service (see Enabling In-Room Service for a Residence Area for more information). To enable Table Select, you’ll need to create a dedicated dining room (see Adding and Configuring Dining Areas).
Can residents be assigned to different tables for different meals?
Yes! In the core system you can assign dining areas (table and seat) by meal and day. Just go to the resident’s profile and use the “Assign by Meal” option. Learn more about Assigning Dining Areas by Meal Period and Day.
What report do most people use for the beverage/snack cart?
We recommend using the Snack Delivery Worksheet for snack carts. This report in the Touch App lists the Snacks for each resident and shows their key profile information.
Can resident pictures be uploaded from PointClickCare?
Yes, if you have PCC Connect integrated with the core system, photos can be pulled from PointClickCare. If they're not currently coming through and you have the interface implemented, review the Connect Interface Settings and toggle the Enable Photo option to "on".
Where do the menu item pictures come from?
Some recipes in the core system may already have photos; however you can upload or replace those photos at your discretion.
Can we add digital show-plates in Instant Ordering?
Yes! You can create digital show-plates. Within the Touch Application, you can Create or Manage plates allowing you to upload photos for plates ahead of service.
Are orders created per resident or can there be one ticket for the whole table?
Instant Ordering generates one ticket per resident.
Is there a way to apply modifications to a combined meal?
You can add a note to the plate if something should be removed. Allergy items will be automatically excluded. You can also add individual items instead using the categories or choices instead of applying the entire plate to the order to ensure it's customized to the residents needs.
Can the resident ordering app be installed on multiple tablets?
Yes! Multiple team members can use the app on different tablets at the same time.
