I click "Generate", but nothing happens?
If you attempt to generate a report, and nothing happens, then that most likely means pop-ups are being blocked on your browser. You can allow pop-ups by clicking the "Pop-up blocked" icon in the browser address bar, as per screenshot below.
If prompted to allow pop-ups, select the "Always allow" option.
To prevent the browser in the first place from blocking pop-ups, you can set up the browser to allow pop-ups. Instructions to do so can be found in the following article: Allowing Pop-Ups on your Browser.
Items are missing when printing my menu report?
In the base settings for menu reports, ensure that the categories of the missing items are selected.
If the missing items are therapeutic substitute items, then it most likely means the regular item has not been extended with the therapeutic substitute items. To do so, see Working in a Menu Item Extension Grid.
How do I print for a single meal service (e.g., Lunch)?
In the base settings for menu reports, clear (i.e., deselect) all the menu categories of the other meal services.
An item is showing on my menu reports but I do not see it in my menu day view or WaaG view?
When adding items to a menu (see Adding Items to a Menu), you are required to add the item to the regular diet order (i.e., regular diet type and regular texture type), and then extend that item with the therapeutic substitutes (either via the extension grid of the recipe itself or via the extension grid of the menu item).
However, it is also possible to add an item directly to non-regular diet orders on the menu (but not recommended). Therefore, if an item was added directly to a non-regular diet order on the menu, it will only be visible on the menu if you select its associated diet order (i.e., diet type and texture type) via the Diet/Texture button (either on the menu day view or WaaG view).
For a menu report, an item that was added directly to a non-regular diet order on the menu will appear in the report if the same non-regular diet order of that item is selected in the report base settings. As such it may not be obvious to you why that item is appearing.
If required to remove an item from a non-regular diet order on the menu, complete the following steps:
- Open the menu day view.
- Click the Diet/Texture button and select the desired diet type and texture type.
- An item that was added to a non-regular diet order appears with the icon shown below:
- To remove the item, click its solid red remove icon (
).
. *If required to serve an item only on a therapeutic diet order without serving its associated regular item on the menu, see Serving Item for only a Specific Therapeutic Diet Order (i.e., not as a Regular Item).
Do recipe photos/images print on the menu reports?
At this time, the only menu report that supports the printing of recipe photos/images is the Recipe Cookbook Report (Menus) .
Also note that the following recipe report prints the recipe photos/images: Scaled Recipe Report (Recipes).
Can I print the recipe ID associated with a recipe?
No. At this time, the recipe ID cannot be printed.
A workaround is to add the recipe ID to the display name of the recipe.
Another workaround is print the recipes from the Recipe Listing screen via the following steps:
- Open the Recipe Listing screen,
- Ensure the Recipe ID column is set to display.
- Customize the recipes you want to export using the available filters.
- Export the list to an Excel® file.
Is there a way to print a meal service menu (breakfast, lunch, dinner) for a month on one page? For example, a breakfast menu for June on one page.
No.
You are only able to generate a meal service for a week, which is done via the Week-at-a-Glance (WaaG) Report (Menus).
Is there a report of allergies for a menu being used?
No, not at this time. An alternate solution is to use the Recipes Listing screen as follows:
- Open the Recipes Listing screen.
- Ensure the Allergens column is set to display.
- Use the Search by Menu filter to select the desired menu, and then click GO to display its recipes list onscreen.
- Export the recipe list to an Excel® file.
How do I rename/reword a menu item so that it is better understood by resident/patients?
See the following article: Changing Display Name, Description, or Image of a Menu Item
