When changing a diet order (diet type, texture type or fluid type) for a resident/patient, and the resident has existing personal menu customizations in the form of a personal menu item, fallback substitute, specific substitute, or serving size adjustment, then these customizations will be placed on-hold and the system will prompt the user to review and determine if these customizations will be set as active for the new diet order (click here for more information). There is an option for the user to keep the customizations on hold or decide later; either way the customizations will not be applied to the new diet order.
There is also an option to place any customization type that is currently active on hold at anytime (see Placing a Customization on Hold).
A customization that is on-hold can be activated at anytime. To do so, complete the following steps:
-
Open the personal menu of the resident/patient.
- Click the Manage Customizations button (first screenshot below), the Manage Customizations slide-out panel appears (second screenshot below), listing all customizations on a resident's/patient's personal menu.
- If any customizations are on-hold for the diet order, then these can be displayed by selecting the Display On-Hold Customizations check box (indicated in screenshot below). Note that on-hold customizations have the status of On-Hold.
For the customization to be activated, click its gear icon in the Actions column and select Make Active.
