About Disliked Items
An item tagged as a dislike on a resident/patient's personal menu is an item they do not prefer, but is still safe to be served if needed. For example, assume a resident dislikes tomatoes; if a salad is served, then the tomatoes can easily be pushed to the side.
Note that the inherent functionality of an item tagged as a dislike is not to automatically remove it from the personal menu of the resident/patient. If wanting to remove an item from a personal menu, then that item must be marked do not serve (DNS). For more information and instructions see the About Removing Items on a Personal Menu.

In addition, regardless if dislikes are suppressed or not, the Dislikes, service notes and more section displays the dislikes, as per screenshot below.

Disliked Items with the Non-Select Service Type

However, items can still be tagged as dislikes on a resident/patient's personal menu, which factor into the item selection logic. For more information, see Non-Select Service Type: Item-Selection Logic for Personal Menu.
