Become a Champion – lead with impact
When you step into the role of a Champion, you're not just mastering a system, you’re becoming a catalyst for growth and confidence with technology in your community.
Whether you're helping teammates master a POS solution, guiding peers through a self-service app, or ensuring financial reporting is spot-on, you’re the trusted expert others turn to.
Champions inspire consistency, elevate excellence and make a real difference every day.
What’s a POS Services Champion?
POS Services Champions are team members who take on a leadership role in supporting the use of the Point of Sale for booking and managing services and appointments in your salons, spas, exercise studios, for maintenance services, etc.
Communities may have multiple Champions across different areas or applications. These Champions are encouraged to collaborate closely, share insights and support one another to ensure a seamless experience for residents and staff alike.
Am I eligible to become a Champion?
You might be a perfect fit for the POS Services Champion role if you:
- Work in a community that offers non-food related services like spa treatments, nail care, workout classes or maintenance.
- Use the POS system to schedule, manage and complete service appointments.
- Support or manage team members who assist residents with service bookings and checkouts.
- Are excited about supporting other communities and their teams during POS Services launches or trainings.
What does a Champion need to know and do?
To be considered a POS Services Champion, you’ll need to be able to confidently:
- Schedule and manage appointments: Book appointments for residents, including selecting the appropriate service and assigning a staff member.
- Customize appointment details: Adjust appointment length, add notes and tailor services to resident preferences.
- Add products to appointments: Include retail items (e.g., nail polish, shampoo) as part of the service transaction when applicable.
- Process payments: Complete checkouts using Meal Plan, Bill to Room, Cash, Credit, Charge Account or Gift Cards and add discounts where applicable.
- Locate transactions & process refunds: Retrieve past appointments and handle any necessary adjustments or refunds.
- Run reports: Generate relevant reports.
Supporting your team as a champion
Champions should be equipped to guide others on:
- Service & product structure: How services and retail items are organized in the POS and where they originate from (e.g., service catalog, inventory system).
- Staff assignment: How to identify and assign the appropriate staff member for a specific service.
- Appointment customization: When and how to adjust appointment duration, add notes or accommodate special resident needs.
