Adjusting Scaling When Printing Stickers
If experiencing scaling or alignment issues when printing stickers/labels, such as text being cut off, you can adjust the scale percentage to what best fits your printer. The means to do this depends if you are printing from your browser or from your PDF reader (if the report has been downloaded).
Adjusting Scaling from Browser
If printing the PDF report from your browser (either Microsoft® Edge and Google Chrome™), complete the following steps to adjust the scale percentage:
- Open the printer window.
- Expand the More Settings section (screenshot below shows Chrome).
- If using Chrome, select Custom from the Scale drop-down, and enter 100 in the percentage field.
- If using Edge, select the percentage field option under the Scale (%) section, and enter 100 in the percentage field.
- Print one page of the report to test.
- If the alignment is not accurate at 100%, then adjust the scale percentage accordingly to find the percentage that best fits your printer.

FAQs
A resident/patient is being excluded from the report due to an invalid diet order message?
If one or more persons selected to be in the report have an invalid diet order, then a message appears indicating such when generating the report.
You can view which persons have an invalid diet order by opening the People Listing screen (People > People Listing). A person with an invalid diet order has the following icon in the Alerts column: :
Hovering your cursor over icon explains why the diet order is invalid.
You can open the person's profile and change their diet order as needed.
For more on what causes an invalid diet order, see the following article: Invalid Diet Orders.
When printing stickers, how do I sort them by the meal and snack order that is served during the day?
For the Sort By option, select Meal/Snack. This sorts the labels according to the order served during the day. Assuming all meals and snacks are selected in the Meals & Snacks drop-down, the order is breakfast, snack am, lunch, snack pm, dinner, snack HS. Within each meal or snack, the stickers print in room order.
My stickers are cut off when I print them. How do I fix this?
After clicking Print, you can adjust the scale percentage to what best fits your printer. For more information, see Adjusting Scaling on Printed PDF Reports above.
Why aren't all my stickers generating?
- To generate stickers for snacks from your scheduled snack menu, select the Snacks from Scheduled Menus option.
- To generate stickers for personal menu items, select the Personal Menu Items option.
- Check if the resident/patient has been assigned an allergen. If so, any existing snacks or personal menu items that conflict with the allergen will not be served. For a snack or personal menu item whose sticker is not generating, you can view its associated allergens; to do so see Viewing Allergens Associated with a Recipe.
- Ensure the appropriate menu categories are selected for the meal services (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner) and snack times (Snack AM, Snack PM, Snack HS). To do so, click the Menu Category Selection link and the Select Menu Categories pop-up appears for you to select the categories.
A resident is being served a snack not on the snack menu?
This most likely indicates the resident is on a therapeutic diet order, and as such the system is offering the therapeutic substitute item that has been extended for the regular snack item that is on the menu.
To open, view or change the therapeutic substitutes of an item, see Working in a Menu Item Extension Grid.
To change the diet order for a resident, see Assigning Diet Order (Diet Type, Texture Type, Fluid Type) to Person.
An item is showing on the Stickers report but I believe should not be due to the person's assigned allergen?
A recipe (i.e., menu item) is associated with an allergen group via one or more of its ingredients. If an item is not removed from the report that you believe should be removed due to the assigned allergen on the person's profile, then first confirm if the recipe is associated with that allergen group. To do see Viewing Allergens Associated with a Recipe.
If the recipe is associated with a different allergen group than the allergen group currently assigned to the profile, then you can assign the correct allergen group to the profile. See Assigning Allergens to a Person.
or
If the recipe is not associated with what you believe is the correct allergen group assigned to the profile, then you can associate the recipe to the correct allergen group by adding the affected ingredient to the allergen group. See Adding Food Items to Allergen Group.
I have adaptive aides that I do not want to print labels for?
Click the Menu Category Selection link to display the Select Menu Categories pop-up (below), and then remove the "adaptive aides" category from each meal service/snack time.
Snacks and/or personal menu items in a snack time (AM, PM, HS) are not generating/printing for a resident?
During a snack time, typically the snacks are served to a person's room. Therefore, in the system, a residence area by default is also enabled as a dining area to allow for room delivery.
If snacks and personal menu items in a snack time (AM, PS, HS) are not being generated for a resident, it could be that their assigned residence area is no longer enabled as a dining area. See the following article to re-enable a residence area as a dining area: Re-enabling Residence Area as a Dining Area.
In addition, the residence area assigned to the person must also share the same menu service location of the snack menu.
- To see what menu service location a residence area enabled as a dining area is assigned to, see Seeing the Menu Service Location a Dining Area is Assigned To. To change the menu service location of a dining area, see Changing the Menu Service Location (MSL) of a Dining Area.
- To see what menu service location the snack menu is assigned to, see Seeing the Menu Service Location (MSL) a Menu is Assigned To. To change the menu service location of the snack menu, see Changing the Menu Service Location (MSL) of a Menu.
I am printing stickers/labels for personal menu items, but they are missing/not generating for a resident?
It could be that the resident's diet order was changed and the personal menu items were not copied over to the new diet order. Open the resident's personal menu to confirm. For instructions on copying personal menu items from a past diet order to the current diet order for a resident, click here.
Can I sort the Stickers report by diet type or texture type?
No. You cannot sort the Stickers report by diet type or texture type. The sort options are as follows:
- Room - sorts the labels according to the residence areas assigned to people.
- Meals/Snacks - sorts the labels according to order of the meal services and snack times served during the day: assuming all meal services and snack times (AM, PM, HS) are selected in the Meals & Snacks drop-down, the order is as follows: breakfast, snack am, lunch, snack pm, dinner, snack HS. Within each snack time, the labels print in room order.
- Name - sorts the labels alphabetically by people.
Can profile notes be printed on a sticker? Can service notes be printed on a sticker?
No, at this time profile notes or service notes cannot be printed on a sticker. If a personal note has been added to a snack item or personal menu item, the personal note will print with the item.
