April 21 Enhancements - Launch of the Inventory Module!
For accounts with access, a new inventory module is available. Our new inventory module will help you create a digital version of your storage areas, organize your products and take inventory in a sheet to shelf manner. With our easy tools, you'll be well on your way to reducing waste and staying on budget.
- To access the webinar on the inventory module (recorded on April 15), see Introducing Inventory: The Foundations for Smarter Stock Control.
- For the inventory support articles, see Inventory.
April 21 Enhancements - Over Budget Alerts & Menu Cost Analysis Tools
The over budget alert feature and menu costs analysis tools have been released (account-specific)!
Have real-time budget indicators show up right where you plan menus.
Use the Menu Costs Analysis screen to see detailed cost analysis on your menu and quickly identify instances that are over budget.
- To access the webinar on over budget alerts and the menu cost analysis tools (recorded on January 21), see Take Charge of Your Food Budget with Menu Cost Analysis Tools.
- For the support articles, see Applying Budget per Resident to a Menu and Using Menu Cost Analysis Screen to Identify Over Budget Instances on Menu.
April 7 Enhancement - New Save Options for a Menu Item Extension Grid
When working on a menu item extension grid and clicking the Save Extensions button, a new Save Extension window appears to present the available options.

- Upon selecting the Save for select menus option, the button changes to Next Select Menus.
- Click the Next Select Menus button, and the Select menus to update window appears.
- Select the menus to update, and click the Confirm & Save button to apply your changes.
Parent Account
If you are a parent account the new save option Save for select menus and accounts is available, which identifies all menus in both your account and your child accounts in which the item exists, and gives you ability to update selected menus.
- Upon selecting the Save for select menus and accounts option, the button changes to Next Select Menus & Accounts.
- Click the Next Select Menus & Accounts button, and the Select menus to update window appears with two tabs: the My Menus Only tab that identifies menus in your account that use the menu item, and the My Child Account Menus tab that identifies menus in your child accounts that use the menu item.

Screenshot Examples
What Do I Need to Do?
When opening a screen for a function that has been migrated, a message banner appears at the top of the screen stating that the experience has been improved, along with a Get Started button.
Already Have Core Account Access?
If you already have an active user profile to your Core account, then when clicking the Get Started button, a message appears stating that the function has moved to your Core account with a button that takes you directly to the Core login screen.
Do Not Have Core Account Access?
If you do not have Core account access, or you do but your Core account user profile is inactive, then when clicking the Get Started button, a message appears prompting you to link your Core account by entering your email address and first and last name.
If you do have Core account access, but your user profile was inactive, you'll be prompted to check for an email and click the This was me, accept and link my logins button which will reactivate your Core account access, and automatically redirect you to the Core login screen.
If you do not have Core account access for the email address entered, you'll be prompted to create a Core account user profile via the form below. No welcome email will be sent, and you will be automatically redirected to the Core login screen.
Are the Functions Still Available in the Touch Admin Software?
Yes. The above functions will still be available in the Touch Admin software. However, they will eventually be removed at a future date; therefore it is strongly encouraged to use the functions in the Core system.
Also note that regardless of which system you use, the data will be the same (i.e., making a change in one system also updates the other system). The Core system and the Touch Admin system are front-end platforms, whereas the data is from a single back-end source.
*Note about the POS Diner Facing Statement Report
The POS Diner Facing Statement report, which shows bill-to-room and meal plan transactions, has not yet been migrated to the Core system, and still is run from the Touch Admin software for now.
FAQs
I have access to multiple accounts (i.e., facilities); do I have to link each one?
No. When linking (i.e., activation) is done with one account (i.e., facility), then access is automatically granted to all facilities.
Does linking my account in Core automatically sign me into Core?
No. The linking process does not sign you into Core automatically. You will be required to log into Core.
