Migration of Functions from Touch Admin to Core System
Over the past several months, the functions that reside in the Touch Admin software have been migrating to the Core system in an effort to no longer have our clients working in two systems.
This migration is occurring in stages, and as such we recognize that it can result in confusion as to where the functions now reside. Therefore, please reference this article to see what has migrated, and where to find it in the Core system.
Core Modules where Former Touch Admin Functions now Reside
Most functions that have been migrated from Touch Admin have landed in one of the Core modules in the table below. Therefore, when looking for a previous Touch Admin function, you can focus on one of these Core modules rather than attempting to navigate and search through other Core modules.

Use the table below to see if a function is only in Core, currently in both Core and Touch Admin, or only in Touch Admin. If a function is to be removed from Touch Admin, the date of its removal is listed. The table will be updated accordingly as the migration of Touch Admin to Core continues.
For quick reference, the table is sorted by the common terminology and naming conventions used in Touch Admin.

Worth Knowing
Let the banner do the navigating. Rather than hunting through the Core modules, open the Touch Admin screen as you always did and you will see a banner with a Get Started button that takes you straight to the Core version. It is the fastest way to learn a new path, and you only have to do it once per screen.
You cannot get your data out of sync. Touch Admin and Core are two front doors into the same back end. A change made in one shows up immediately in the other. There is nothing to reconcile, and no risk in trying the Core version of a screen.
Some of it still works in both places - but less of it every month. Use the Find it Fast: A to Z table above to see if a function is only in Core, in Core and Touch Admin, or only in Touch Admin. This table will be updated accordingly as the migration of Touch Admin to Core continues.
-
These things have been renamed during the migration (therefore, if something seems missing, check whether it is simply wearing a new name):
POS Dashboard is now POS Overview.
POS "first generation" reports are now Detailed Reports.
POS "second generation" reports are now Summary Reports.
On a resident profile, Kitchen Order History is now Meal Activity.
FAQs
Do we have to stop using Touch Admin?
In stages. HACCP, the POS Overview screen and POS reports, and the Touch app report presets have already moved to Core only.
Use the Find it Fast: A to Z table above to see if a function is only in Core, in Core and Touch Admin, or only in Touch Admin. The table will be updated accordingly as the migration of Touch Admin functionality to Core continues. If a function is to be removed from Touch Admin, the date of removal will be listed.
A screen I have always used has disappeared from Touch Admin?
Check the Find it Fast: A to Z table above. If its row is marked Core only, it has moved permanently and the same job is now done in Core at the location shown. Nothing has been lost, and none of your data or history has gone with it.
What happens to our data?
Nothing at all. Both the Touch Admin software and the Core system read and write the same information. There is no migration for you to manage and nothing to check afterwards.
I do not have a Core login?
Click the Get Started button on the banner in the Touch Admin screen, and enter your email address and your first and last name. If you already have a Core profile that has gone inactive, you will get an email with a "This was me, accept and link my logins" button.
If you do not have Core account access for the email address entered, you'll be prompted to create a Core account user profile via the form below. No welcome email will be sent, and you will be automatically redirected to the Core login screen.
Something I use is not in this article?
Then it has not moved yet; simply carry on using it in Touch Admin. More will come across over the coming months, and each move is written up in this article and monthly release notes available in the Help Center.
