Migration of POS Service Settings to Core Account
The following POS settings are now available from your Core account (in addition to still being available in the Touch Admin software for the time being):
- Receipt and ticket closing
- Enabling personalized menus at POS
- Setting meal period (breakfast, lunch, dinner) end times
- Reservation settings for a dining room
- Requesting a new POS revenue center (formerly called POS location)
If you do not have a Core account login (or have one but it is inactive), then when in the Touch Admin software, click the Get Started button on the banner at the top of the screen, and enter your email address and your first and last name.
-
If the system notices that you do already have a Core account login that has gone inactive, you will get an email with a "This was me, accept and link my logins" button.
- If you do not have a Core account login for the email address entered, you'll be prompted to create one via the form below. No welcome email will be sent, and you will be automatically redirected to the Core login screen.

AI Recipe Import
ANDI, the MealSuite AI Assistance, can now help import and create recipes from a file, such as a PDF or Excel® For example, if you download a PDF file of a recipe from a recipe site, you can then import that file to extract its details as a recipe in your account.
| Creating recipe by importing recipe documents is accomplished with ANDI, the MealSuite AI assistant. ANDI extracts the details of each recipe from the imported file, matches each ingredient against a food item in the MealSuite system, and stages each recipe for your review to finetune and approve before you create the recipe. See the following article to learn more: Importing Recipes Using AI. |

Allergens Filter on Recipes Listing Screen
The Allergens filter on the Recipes Listing screen now has the “does not contain” option, as indicated by the red cross-out icon:
With the “does not contain” option selected, the system will return results not containing the inputted value. For example, if the inputted value is “AllergenEggs”, the results returned would be recipes not associated with the AllergenEggs allergen group (i.e., all other recipes are returned except those associated with AllergenEggs).
Unpublishing a Fluid Recipe
When a parent account unpublishes a fluid recipe, and that fluid recipe is in use in either the parent account or one of their child accounts, the warning message now appears stating such so that you can determine if you want to continue with unpublishing the fluid recipe. Prior to the August 18 release, this warning message only appeared for non-fluid recipes.
By clicking the Where Used button, you can where the recipe is currently being used, which includes menus, personal menu, and other recipes.

Ability to Change the Preferred Unit of Measure (UoM) on a Master Recipe
For a master recipe using a standard unit of measure (UoM) for its portion size, you can change the unit of measure to the preferred UoM desired by your facility.
For example, if the UoM for an apple juice master recipe is fl oz, then this can be changed to cup, ml, or scoop.
When changing the preferred UoM, the system will automatically convert the amount so as to maintain the same nutrition and cost and prevent you from having to manually calculate the conversion. In keeping with the above example, if the juice is 4 fl oz, then the conversion options are as follows (also indicated in screenshot below).
- 1/2 cup
- 120 ml
- 1 #8 scoop
For more information and instructions, see Changing the Preferred Unit of Measure (UoM) on a Recipe.

Tray Menu Tickets now Prints Modifiers
Modifiers that are added to Instant Orders and Advanced Orders now print on a Tray Menu Tickets. When the tray menu ticket is generated, the modifiers appear in italics underneath their ordered item. In addition if a modifier is configured to appear with a highlighted colour on the KMS order screen, then that colour also displays for the modifier on the tray menu ticket.
Update to a Non-PCC Connect Interface
For a non-PointClickCare interface, when resolving a people data mapping issue from the Connect screen or the People Listing screen, the ability to just ignore the message has been re-implemented. Ignoring the message means the person's profile will not be updated with the information in the message. Any subsequent messages regarding the person will continue to be accepted by the system.
This is a useful option for a person who is an outpatient or who has been discharged (thereby allowing the system to accept a re-admit if needed), and messages are received before their re-admit.
